Atacama Starry Nights: Episode I

Astronomer’s Paradise is the first episode of Atacama Starry Nights timelapse movie series. Cerro Paranal is truly an astronomers paradise with its stunningly dark, steady and transparent sky. Located in the barren Atacama Desert of Chile it is home to some of the world’s leading telescopes.

Directed by Christoph Malin & Babak Tafreshi // The music theme is by Carbon Based Lifeforms.

Temporal Distortion by Randy Halverson

What you see is real, but you can’t see it this way with the naked eye. It is the result of thousands of 20-30 second exposures, edited together to produce the timelapse. This allows you to see the Milky Way, Aurora and other Phenonmena, in a way you wouldn’t normally see them.

Featuring an original score by Bear McCreary // Directed by Randy Halverson.

BRNO HDR by Samadhi Production

BRNO – Czech Republic // HDR Motion Control Timelapse Video // Filmed October/November 2011 // Music: Paper People (Instrumental) by Freak Owls // Directed by Samadhi Productions.

Landscapes by Dustin Farrell

Landscapes volume one & two directed by Dustin Farrell.

“A year’s compilation of my time lapse work. All shot on the Canon 5D2 and processed in Adobe After Effects. The majority of the shots are in my beautiful home state of Arizona. Goblin Valley State Park and Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah also make an appearance.”

“Landscapes: Volume 2 is the second of a three part series (probably). Every frame of this video is a raw still from a Canon 5D2 DSLR and processed with Adobe software. In Volume 2 I again show off my beautiful home state of Arizona and I also made several trips to Utah. This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks”Dustin Farrell.

Go With The Flø
