“Possessing a natural ability to curate beautiful music with a midas-touch of techno comes naturally to Sonae. After infamous sets on her Soundcloud account, namely the ‘Quiet’ series, it was just a matter of time before Sonae ventured into her own productions and luckily for us, she’s blessed ASIP with her very first release.
Her place is vast, city-vast in fact, which means her inspiration comes from many different aspects, perspectives, views, journeys, commutes, reflections and even times spent in parks on her favourite bench. The city of Cologne may not be flourishing, but Sonae’s depiction of one of Germany’s most famous musical cities is.”

“Browsing the vinyl racks at your favorite record store and coming across the name Shlohmo might be a bit of a mystery. A name like that could mean either traditional klezmer music or alcohol-soaked fraternity band. Luckily (with all due respect to klezmer masters), Shlohmo is a different beast entirely. Beat maestro Henry Laufer has been concocting a potent mix of dirty south, avant beats, slow jam soul, and hip hop for some time on LA based Friends of Friends aka FoF Music. After releasing his first EP in 2009, Shlohmo started making waves with the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and Daddy Kev from Low End Theory. Since then, Henry has kept busy with more releases including two full length albums and several EPs and 12″es, all released to much critical acclaim. With beats that point to a maturity level far beyond his age, we are predicting frightening consequences to come.”

“The idea behind the Auxiliary podcast is to first and foremost showcase music that I’m into. Obviously, having a label gives me a platform to make my music accessible for the consumer, but the podcast acts as a further insight into what makes Auxiliary what it is.” – ASC.
