Das Projekt rrrrrrrroll wurde im Mai 2012 von einer Gruppe von Freunden aus Japan gegründet. Die Idee ist es, mit Hilfe der Fotografie und schönen minimalistischen Animationen Objekte und Personen um die eigene Achse drehen zu lassen. Auf dem Tumblr der Gruppe gibt es inzwischen schon zahlreiche Gifs zu sehen und laut Twitter kommen jede Woche zwei neue hinzu.
